Asbestos was a commonly used product in the building industry throughout Salisbury, Wiltshire and surrounding areas from the late 1960's through to the year 2000. Houses and commercial properties within these dates are likely to contain ACM's (asbestos containing materials), a specialist survey will locate these enabling decisions to be made to their ongoing management or removal.
Throughout Salisbury and Wiltshire, asbestos was used extensively in both commercial and domestic builds. Used in over 3000 products and materials, fibres are often contained in domestic floor tiles and floor coverings, artex and decorative coatings, boxing panels and partitions as well as insulation products, glues and mastics.
